On the way from Rørvik to Ørnes, passing a sister ship. The Hurtigruten Norwegian coastal voyage. Saturday, 12 May 1990
Thanks to Sterkoder and Sigve of "http://www.CaptainsVoyage-forum.com" my thought that this was the Nordnorge on her way south has been confirmed. Launched in 1964 they said she was sold to a shipping company in Panama in 1996 and renamed "Wordlink", then resold later that year, renamed "Island Explorer" until her last sale in 2006 to India for breaking. There is now a second Nordnorge, a much bigger boat.
CaptainsVoyage, by the way, is a most friendly site for those who love ships and sea, even if only just to stand and stare. Go have a look.
