On the way from Rørvik to Ørnes, passing a sister ship. The Hurtigruten Norwegian coastal voyage. Saturday, 12 May 1990

Thanks to Sterkoder and Sigve of "" my thought that this was the Nordnorge on her way south has been confirmed. Launched in 1964 they said she was sold to a shipping company in Panama in 1996 and renamed "Wordlink", then resold later that year, renamed "Island Explorer" until her last sale in 2006 to India for breaking. There is now a second Nordnorge, a much bigger boat.

CaptainsVoyage, by the way, is a most friendly site for those who love ships and sea, even if only just to stand and stare. Go have a look.
