King Christian IX and Queen Louise of Denmark, and Princess Alexandra, c. 1876
Wow! Just once in a while you're flicking through something very innocent looking, in this case a small album of anonymous cartes de visites, and then a little clue leads to a whole discovery.
This is one of two CdVs I discovered (see neighbouring image) taken by Riossell & Sons, Chichester.
In this one, which bearsthe feint caption "King and Queen of Denmark" on the reverse (which is what led to the identifications), we see King Christian IX and Queen Louise, together with their daughter Princess Alexandra, the wife of Albert Edward, Prince of Wales (later Edward VII)
