Quarter plate cased ambrotype of M E Fawcett ?1859 (almost certainly Mary Ellen Fawcett, nee Hill, b 1839) - detail of intricate hand colouring

This has to be some of the most intricate hand colouring that I have seen on an ambrotype.

A hand written note on the case reads "M E Fawcett. 1859 ?". This image came together with a sixth-plate in the same style, labelled as John Fawcett.

Thanks to detective work from EastMarple1 (see below) this is believed to be Mary Ellen Fawcett (nee Hill) who in the 1861 census is living at Chapel Terrace, Kirby Stephen, Westmorland, married to John Fawcett. They married in June 1859, so perhaps the two images are related to the occasion of their wedding?
