    Part of the ADT force protection and security team with journalist Douglas Wissing in Khost Province, Afghanistan. With the body armor, helmets, ammunition and field equipment, soldiers are commonly carrying 75 to 100 pounds in the 100-degree heat at altitudes ranging from 5,000 to 8,000 feet. Journalists are also required to have body armor, helmets and bullet-proof glasses.
