      I can tell easily that you got wet and covered in sand for this shot. That's the only way to get the great bird's eye level angle that makes for a fantastic photo.

      @Dennis: Yep, this is from a big series that I have of this large flock along the beach. They were really relaxed with my presence, and I was able to crawl close and spend a lot of time lying in the sand with them trying out different compositions of the different clusters of birds.

      Nice, and I am, as usual, envious. I wonder if it is just chance what leg they stand on. I notice most are using the left leg for support. I never see enough resting birds at one time to pay attention to things like that.
