      @Dennis: Nothing too special about the colors, just a cloudy white balance setting for a thinly overcast late afternoon. When I took this shot, the sun was just breaking through the clouds as it stretched towards the horizon, giving a blast of warm light on the birds.

      Great technique on the DOF. This is a wonderful shot and the lighting looks great. If it were mine, I might try to surgically clone out the tail that is protruding from the right side of the frame.
