First bobcat encounter (1of2)

    Newer Older

A last-minute weekend trip to Tennessee Valley proved to be quite a good choice, as I had my first bobcat encounter along the trails there. Before bumping into this cat, I bumped into local bobcat photographer extraordinaire Trish Carney -- and I highly recommend checking out her stream if you haven't before. These pictures are fairly severe crops, but it was a real pleasure to finally encounter one of these beauties.

Nice. I have never seen one. Not too many in my area. Like zero.

Nice profile. I have only gotten a couple of these guys on film and none of the pics were worth looking at again......so, I am jealous.

That's awesome. They're usually running away from me when I see them.

Nice image. I agree, the framing is perfect. I appreciated the link to the other photostream too. I've had just a glimpse of a bobcat here in NC. I can't imagine being able to get photos like these.
