Redwoods and Waterfalls

With all the rain we've had in the Bay Area this last week, we just had to take a trip to see some flowing water. Early on Saturday, we set out for Cataract Falls on western Mount Tamalpais. The water was really flowing, and this long series of falls were just breathtaking. The images I came back with look feeble in comparison to the sight itself. Here's a shot from the first set of falls we came on, right near where the trail heads away from the Alpine Lake Reservoir -- while not part of the actual Cataract Falls, it was still quite pretty as it rippled by some Redwoods.
