I had a hard week last week. Consequently, I've not been particularly useful over the last couple of days.
Mrs Clappersoup, suffering with a heavy cold, puts me to shame. She has even gone to work today (a Sunday).... and cycled there at about 06:45am. Cycle rides have dropped off a bit, but Id promised myself to get out there this morning. Mrs Clappersoup seized the day, got me up and we cycled down the canal, in the dark, into town, where she went off on her way and I got the camera out.
And what a load of mediocre shots I took. This is the best of them and as you can see, I have processed its trousers off. A couple of months ago I think I would have been tickled with this outcome, but for some reason, at the moment at least, I feel its a step backwards compared to a couple of my recent efforts. The HDR from photomatix didnt look particularly grand, it was when I got that into PSE6 and played about with the "Unsharp Mask" tool that this suddenly emerged. I also messed about with the perpendiculars as much as I could, to try and straighten the tower out a bit.
On the way home, I got a puncture for all my trouble.
