The Milky Way at Haleakalā Crater

Haleakalā Crater is located in Maui. The observation building (light painted), seen in the bottom of this picture is at 10,000 feet. The sky is just perfect for photographing the night sky. This is my first attempt at shooting the Milky Way. After observing the photo on my computer I wish I had tried a higher ISO and shorter exposure time.... live and learn :)
