Vintage Univega Supra Sport Single Speed
I picked up this Univega Supra Sport this week for $85, after inadvertently selling my own around-town bike.

I've worked on a couple other Supra Sports in the past and they all had different specs, but this one seems to be the best of the trio.

The ride is amazingly smooth. The geometry is just a tad aggressive and the metal gives a lively feel without being twitchy.

For those keeping score, this frame sports:

triple butted cromoly frame tubes and a mangalight fork
a pair of panaracer tires on Ukai rims laced to Shimano hubs
a 160mm Sugino crankset with alloy pedals marked SP-467
nitto Olypic bars that I cut down to bullhorns and laced on a Deda grip with synthetic corks to hold them in place
a dia comp side-pull break with a quick release
a leather saddle on a fluted seat post
a suntour rear derailleur that's stuck to the hanger for now because the bolt is stripped

I've always thought vintage Fujis hold the best value, but I think Univegas give them a run for their money. Imagine what these parts would run today?
