The misfortunes of a steel train @ Hohtenn

Arrival of a steel train headed by no less than five locomotives: Re 465 015, 011 and 007 and Re 4/4 nos. 184 and 179. What happened is the following: between Lalden and Ausserberg, the train had stranded while being hauled by the two Re 4/4's. The Re 465 locos therefore came to provide the relief.

However, according to the driver, something quite clearly was amiss when he tried to put the train in motion, and therefore the train was halted at Hohtenn. Apparently, the train was too heavy - possibly the cargo list failed to include the tare of the wagons themselves.

About three hours later, when I had already left, a bank engine came to help the train up the final 27‰ stretch to Goppenstein. Hohtenn, 27-06-2012.
