The Praying Children

    Newer Older

The best photos you get, when you got the chance to shot something that is unusual and different how you would expected it.

These are stone statue that were dislocated in front of a fence because there is restoration work to do. I don't know the original location of theses statue but think the actual position is powerful enough. What do you think this picture means?

Technique: HDR, 3EV+-2EV, f5.6 (best I could get from my lens in this situation), 105mm, 1/125, ISO 250, dual-tone with sepia, vignette

I hope they aren't the kids that prayed in public school.

Excellent use of line and b&w. I do find it lacking in whites though but it could be just because of the shade.

Interesting photo, I love the contrast in the flowing and straight shapes!
Perhaps they are praying for our earth and our future.

Wow, I think the fence actrally really adds to this photo. It's like they are locked away or something. Very cool and dark image Werkunz1!

It definitely has a haunting feeling. The light fall-off around the edges adds to that eerie mood.

I am almost sure that represents the three shepherd children (Fátima/ Portugal).

      Hi Fatima,

I don't know enough about the scultures. They are from a church in the northend in Boston. During a construction the were displaced towards the fence. That gave this picture.

You see the children in the garden on google maps.

      Best from Boston
