The Dead Tree

October 27 - 300/365

A chilly wind swept through

the dead and lonely branches

where only Ivy dared to climb

The moon did cast it's ghostly glow

upon the crumbling rotten bark

inside the veil of darkness

Many a superstitious soul

would under the dead tree gather

to witness hallowe'en's magic

When I spotted this spooky tree I knew it would make be great for a Hallowe'en shot, my daughter Natalie added the poem.

I spotted it a couple of weeks ago and knew that I wanted it for a halloween shot. The original is a sunny day shot with a blue sky and white fluffy clouds, but I saw beyond all the 'niceness' lol. I just knew this tree had a dark side.

The original also had a lamp post, telegraph pole and wires, don't you just love the clone tool?
