A Visit to the Farm
Went down to see this gorgeous boy. Yes, we still have Elliot. Two issues, in my mind. First, there are about fifty kittens available for adoption on craigslist, most of them younger (although none cuter) than Elliot. Second, Elliot wasn't socialized until he was 6 or 8 weeks old. And, as you can see, he does not readily cuddle. Oh, on his terms he does. When he wants to. But forcing him doesn't work well. But he was rescued from the side of the road young enough that he has adjusted to indoor life on many levels. And he truly is adorable. Besides, look at my Mr. Grigsby. Guess who now likes to sit on my lap? Yes, my dear Mr. Grigsby. Amazingly, Cumin is willing to share my legs with him while the rest pile up top. . . I really think that Elliot will readily adapt as he ages. Oh, he may never be a true lap sitter, but he does already seek out loving and cuddling when he's worn out and ready to nap. . .
