Lamb Jam 2011 at the Ritz-Carlton
The first annual Washington D.C. Lamb Jam is on Sunday, May 22 at the Ritz Carlton (1150 22nd Street, N.W., Washington, D.C.) from 2-5 pm. This event will bring dozens of Washington, D.C.'s top restaurants and chefs together to celebrate American Lamb by creating succulent and savory selections for the lamb loving public.

This event will feature:

* Approximately 16- 20 D.C. restaurants/chefs offering samples of dishes featuring American Lamb
* Friendly chef/dish competition to garner awards and prizes in categories including "Best in Show," "People's Choice" and "Best Leg, Loin, Shank and Shoulder" categories with voting by a panel of key media representatives and event attendees
* Hands-on American lamb butcher demos
* Local beer, cider and wine pairings
