log cabin baby blanket

last year I finished a log cabin baby blanket for a new arrival to some college friends...granted I didn't actually finish the blanket until her 1st birthday, but it's the thought that counts right?

To finish it off, I did an I-Cord edging, and added a liner for the back, which I anchored with knotted ties. I saw it again a bit ago, and it's puckered a bit after a few washings, but has held up well overall. The one drag about the cotton ease is that cut ends fray easily, which is the main reason I added the lining.

Yarn: Lion Brand Cotton Ease (this stuff is perfect for baby knits...inexpensive, great colors and machine washable)
