OOh, yes! Beautifully framed, this one.
I'm amazed that you're still sniffing these out. There seems to be a neverending supply. They must be worried you're catching up :)

Wow! This looks fantastic on black! Nicely visualized 3-d effect.

Oh, SC, you strike again with your genius for LA scenes.
This makes me add an LA trip wish to my calendar.

Rosa, it's a neighboring hood... all part of the Northeast LA, Glassell Park. Glad you like it!
      Thanks everyone!
EJ- you know how to rock the Spanglish girlfriend! Muchas gracias, amiga!

My neighborhood! You captured it well. When I photographed it, I thought I could get the best angle standing in the street, but cars kept coming.

Hahaha! Exactly what I did! Risky intersection to stand in!

Do you know the artist? I just LOVE this mural! The colors are fantastic! I just hope they hold up to this summer's brutal sunshine!

(by the way... I like your blog... I visit once in awhile!)

I met the artist while he was working on the first part of the mural. We didn't talk much, because I speak even less Spanish than he was speaking English. He was very friendly, though, and it was a pleasant encounter.

Sumptuous signage and that post/traffic light in the center somehow brings this to earth in a very effective way.
