Dogwood blossoms with a giant Seqouia Redwood looming above
One more from a Memorial Day trip to the southern Sierra in search of dogwoods among the redwoods.
This one required use of the tripod as a boom with the camera working on self-timer, in order to place the camera high enough to reach the flowers. I took 11 tries at this till I got what I wanted. I underexposed to make sure the white of the flowers did not blow out, then I lightened the sky in post to render the final image.
