Burien Fourth of July Parade: Corporate Intrusion

BURIEN, WASHINGTON, USA - July 4, 2006 - Gawd, isn't there any way to get away from consumerism and commercialism on a patriotic holiday? This guy shows up at every parade...not to be patriotic...but to sell more fries. *F* him, the segway he rode in on, and big corporations trying to horn in on a patriotic parade! All we need now is the Wal-Mart smiley face in the parade in an Uncle Sam hat. Ptui.

Oh darn, their brandmark is on the same webpage as my derogatory comments. Sorry, Mickie D's. Your money-grubbing tactics SUCK. The Fourth is about floats and marching bands and patriotism and candy thrown to little kids. And I don't need any more oversalted factory meat, chemicals or grease, either, thanks.

ALERT! ALERT!: I'd like to welcome Flickr user "Commercial Alert", who flagged this photo as a favorite. I love what you guys do...protecting consumers from commercialism. :)
