Grave Marker, United Church Graveyard, Twelve Mile Lake, Haliburton Highlands, Ontiario, Canada, October 2009

    Newer Older

This unique grave marker is a most lovely idea. it marks the resting place of Barbara Ann Henley who was born in the same year as I. The inscription on the stone beneath reads, "When someone you love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure". The bench is positioned facing the summer sunset, and is a peaceful resting spot.

Lovely dark tones which suit the subject. The reddish colour and the grey are great together.
