Grassland Goddess

Rhea americana, the South American cousin of the African ostrich, the Austrlian emu and the New Zealand kiwi. They're all closely related and are used as evidence of the continental drift, since these regions were all supposedly together in one continent (Gondwana).


In Brazil it's called ema but in Uruguay and Argentina they're called by the native name inhandu/iñandu.
