Flying with Fish
I had plans to meet my friend Denise at Disney’s Boardwalk on Tuesday. She was worried that it would rain, but this is Florida – you never know if the clouds will turn to rain or pass over. I was already in the area and the weather kept changing from blue sky to clouds and back. It seemed as though the sunset was going to be wonderful and I was really looking forward to it.
Then this is what we got at the Boardwalk. Rain. Lots of rain. I was out in it taking pictures before Denise arrived and some tourists were laughing at me for walking in the rain without cover while they were covered in some flimsy ponchos. I remember hearing one of them say, “At least we’re prepared.”
I’m not sure she knew what was coming next. The rain will stop and I’ll dry off, but they’ll have to deal with those wet ponchos. There’s a reason why the locals don’t wear those things.
By the way, we had dinner here at the Flying Fish Cafe and it was really quite good. I think I can finally say that I found decent food at Walt Disney World.
