Santa Barbara's offshore drilling

This oil drilling rig off the coast of Santa Barbara is one of numerous that line the ocean view. The beaches are littered with oil globules that wash ashore, although whether this pollution is from offshore drilling or the natural oil seeps is unknown. A movement to expand offshore drilling in California is growing increasingly unpopular.
