Holding Up Traffic
This was my favorite of everything we shot, and there are some outtakes in the comments below. I just love the mix of the street lights with the last bits of daylight along with some help from the SB800! We were just walking down the street back to the parking garage when I took a quick shot to get a feel for the ambient light. As soon as I saw it, I told the girls to stop and that we would have to do some photos here.
It took longer than I thought it would, mainly because traffic on the street didn't really stop. We could only take one or two shots before a car came down the road, and we would have to move. We were running like a well oiled machine after a little bit - Sam was guarding my gear & would tell us when a car was coming, Jen would position the light, Nickie would give me a quick pose or two, and I would take the shot!
Strobist: One SB800 camera right held by a VAL fired through a shoot through reflector (due to the umbrella being damaged earlier by the wind). Triggered via CLS.
