All Saints of America Mission

    Newer Older

While searching for Win at Wynn, my aunt and I ended up at the Antiochian Orthodox Mission in Homer Alaska. This was a hand-built building made by the people who live and work there and was nearly complete. Father Paul Moses Jaroslaw was nice enough to let me take some photos inside. One thing I couldn't capture in any of my photos was how wonderfully this place smelled, both due to the freshness of the building which was made from wood they milled their selves, as well as some great incense that was burning before we even came in.

This is my families church, and this is such a wonderful photo! It just brings back memories of building it, and just looking at it, I can smell incense.
