King's Cross in the 20th century
The pictures in this set show the streets around King's Cross & St Pancras stations, mostly in the 1950's, but also in the very early 20th century. The journey starts in Pancras Road, continues along the frontage of King's Cross station, then, on a sort of circular tour, takes in views of York Way, Caledonian Road and Gray's Inn Road, with a couple of detours to Swinton Street, King's Cross Road and Pentonville Road, before returning in the opposite direction in front of the stations, taking in the old Century cinema and sites previously used as coach stations. Also included are some views of Euston in the same period, although these pics will migrate to another set featuring the Euston Road when time permits.
