Bus stop signs + road signs
Until around 1969 bus operators tended to have their own indvidual designs of bus stop signs.

These individual designs included distinctive circular signs (Birmingham City Transport), "hanging tombstones" (Wolverhampton Corporation) or plain "BUS STOP" signs (Walsall Corporation").

Then Government regulations introduced a standardised bus stop sign including the side profile of a single deck bus. That single deck bus was originally somewhat like a Bristol SC4LK, soon to be updated to a bus like an Alexander bodied Leyland Leopard.

In the West Midlands the operator first to adopt the new style bus stop signs was West Bromwich Corporation, then followed by West Midlands PTE.

This set starts off with some of the Walsall Corporation stop signs that were around in the late 1960's.
