Washington DC: Inter-American Development Bank

The Inter-American Development Bank Building, at 1300 New York Avenue NW, was built in 1985 by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill as part of the emerging Washington "school" of architecture, which was defined by its classical spirit.

The Inter-American Development Bank (IADB or IDB) is an international organization established in 1959 to support Latin American and Caribbean economic and social development and regional integration by lending mainly to governments and government agencies, including State corporations.
