NYC: The Peninsula

The Peninsula New York, located on Fifth Avenue and 55th Street, a 23-story, 1905 landmark building, reopened on November 1, 1998, following a $45 million renovation. Many of the hotel's original Beaux Arts architectural features, designed by Hiss and Weekes, have been retained.

The Peninsula New York features 185 guest rooms and 54 suites, decorated in a classic, contemporary style with art nouveau accents. Specifically designed for the needs of the executive traveler, all of the hotel rooms incorporate state-of-the-art technology, with an electronic system that allows guests to control their environment with the touch of a fingertip. The hotel's pampering Peninsula Spa and Health Club offers hotel guests a broad range of facilities, including a glass-enclosed pool, in a serene atmosphere with spectacular views of Manhattan. The Peninsula New York's restaurants and bars are favorites among the New York business crowd and include the hotel's fine dining restaurant, Fives, and the popular Pen-Top Bar & Terrace with stunning views of New York.
