NYC - Smith & Wollensky

The original Smith & Wollensky opened up on the corner of 49th Street and Third Avenue in 1977. Since then, the Smith & Wollensky Restaurant Group has grown to include 13 restaurants everywhere from Miami Beach to Chicago to Las Vegas. The surnames, Smith and Wollensky, were chosen from the local telephone directory by the restaurant's founder Alan Stillman, of T.G.I. Friday's fame. The painted wood exterior is dark forest green trim on sparkling white with latticework trim. The elegant interior has turn-of-the-century appeal and design elements including shining brass, dark wood accents and polished wood floors.
