NYC - Queens - Flushing: Flushing Post Office - World War II Memorial
The main branch post office in Flushing, with its marvelous marble columns, was opened in 1934. Outside sits this memorial to the men of the Flushing postal district who fought and gave their lives in World War II for the preservation of liberty. The inside walls are lined with Vincent Aderente's gorgeous murals depicting the history of Queens.
