Uncle Boons, at 7 Spring Street, was opened in 2013. by Ann Redding and Matt Danzer, a husband and wife team formerly of Per Se. The pan Thai Rotisserie & Grill, named for Redding's uncle, has earned widespread acclaim including a Michelin Star and consistent spot among the New York Eater 38. Redding and Danzer have been semifinalists for the James Beard Foundation Best Chef in America. Uncle Boons was a semifinalist for the 2014 James Beard Foundation Award for Best New Restaurant in America.
