NYC - Greenwich Village: 7-13 Washington Square North

Originally separate townhouses, these units have been combined into one apartment building with an entrance on Fifth Avenue. No. 12 was the home of Edward Cooper, son of Peter Cooper and mayor of NYC from 1879-1905. Alexander Hamilton lived at No. 7, as did Edith Wharton in 1882, when she was 20 years old.
