NYC - Greenwich Village: Morton Wiliams Supermarket - Bohemorama

Vicki Khuzami's Bohemorama, a glass-encased 4'x24' acrylic canvas mural against the exterior of the Associated Supermarket at Bleecker Street and LaGuardia Place in University Village honors 25 of Greenwich Village’s most illustrious and prolific Bohemians. Khuzmani chose to depict most of the artists prior to their notoriety and success in three sections: one each for writers, artists and musicians. Commissioned by MortonWilliams Supermarket, the mural covers several generations, starting with Edgar Allan Poe — believed to be the father of American bohemianism. Other featured artists include Edgar Allen Poe, Andy Warhol, Allen Ginsberg, Mark Twain, Bob Dyla, Charlie Parker and Miles Davis.
