NYC - Midtown: Salmon Tower

Salmon Tower, built to the design of York & Sawyer in 1927 for Walter J. Salmon, currently houses NYU's Midtown Center for Continuing Education. The 32-story, 370-foot highrise has a unique "H" shaped layout alloowing for eight corner offices per floor.

It is especially noteworthy for the tile vaults of ts lobby, produced by the renowned Guastavino firm, and for these bas-reliefs around its entrance, representing the months of the year, with the corresponding zodiac sign, and figures representing the various professions on top.
