Las Vegas - Hard Rock Hotel & Casino - Nirvana
On display in Las Vegas' Hard Rock Hotel & Casino's memorabilia collection are various articles of "grunge" clothing and a pair of Kurt Cobain's guitars. The blonde guitar was used by the band as canvas for graffiti while waiting for a photo session.
The Hard Rock was opened in 1995 by Peter Morton, a co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe franchise. Despite being located well off the strip, the music-themed 770 room hotel and 30,000 square foot casino appeal to young, trendy and hip as well as those who enjoy the Neo Retro feel of Las Vegas.
