See something or say something: Los Angeles

Red dots are locations of Flickr pictures. Blue dots are locations of Twitter tweets. White dots are locations that have been posted to both.

Now I know what all those people bent over their phone in their cars do! They're tweeting!
    (Well, duh!)

Umm, just because the dots follow the streets doesn't mean that they are ON the streets. Most likely, it's that large businesses, retailers & restaurants are located along the major corridors. That doesn't quite work for the highway dots, of course. I think it's more about having a very high population density along the roads-- much more dense than even the most packed of LA neighborhoods.

Also... what happened to the South Bay!!! No Manhattan Beach, no Long Beach, not even the Port of Los Angeles. That's part of the city cut right off, and much of the megapopolis.

i.... went mad with the notes x-x but as an angelino, i find this fascinating. totally not surprised by the stash of twittering done at the abbey, but surprised how south downtown is twitter oriented, but north downtown is flickred about. It's like a tourist map too xD
