Proposed Freeways and Major Streets, Oakland, California (1946)

Richmond Boulevard is extended to 27th and to Skyline and beyond, but is a street, not a freeway. 42nd Avenue is a freeway though. The Grove-Shafter Freeway is only between Grand and 47th Street, with branches to Claremont and Martin Luther King. Pleasant Valley connects to Cavour and Aileen(?) instead of 51st. I-580 follows MacArthur exactly. Upper Fruitvale connects to Park Boulevard. Alice goes through and is a major street. 13 is a freeway only between 24 and Richmond.
