    "Corporate America" is an informal phrase describing the world of corporations within the United States not under government ownership. It implies financial or ideological self-interest, greed, resistance to entitlements and the irresponsible promotion of counter-socialist self-interest at the expense of government and competitors. "Corporate America" is commonly used interchangeably with the phrase "Wall Street".
