The World Affairs Council Presents the 2015 Atlas Award, Wednesday, October 14, 2015

On Wednesday, October 14th, the Council presented its prestigious 2015 Atlas Award to Malika Saada Saar of the Human Rights Project for Girls (Rights4Girls), a human rights organization focused on gender-based violence against vulnerable young women and girls in the United States, and to outgoing Chairman John Walsh, whose reputation as a steadfast supporter of education and charitable organizations in the Philadelphia area is well-regarded.

The keynote speaker was Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota, the successful co-sponsor of The Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act and author of The Senator Next Door.
