Welcome to the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia Photo Album
Welcome to the Council's photo album of speaker events, educational programs and travel destinations. You are welcome to download, print or oder (via Flickr's SnapFish prints service or your own local photo processing center) any image.
Established in 1949, the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia is a private, nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to creating an informed citizenry on matters of national and international significance.
Reaching more than 2,100 students from public, private, parochial and charter schools throughout the greater Philadelphia region each year, the World Affairs Council has touched the lives of over one million students since its inception in 1949. We are most proud of our nationally recognized simulation programs, such as the Model United Nations and the Model Senate Foreign Relations committee, which introduce a diverse group of students at the intermediate and high school age to global studies, international affairs and foreign and public policy issues. These programs also enhance the humanities and social studies curricula in area schools and encourage young people to think critically and thoughtfully about their local and global communities.
Currently, over eighty schools participate in World Affairs Council of Philadelphia programs.
