The Hamels Foundation and the World Affairs Council: A Winning Team for Education"

In an effort to create awareness of educational inequality around the globe, Heidi and Cole Hamels and The Hamels Foundation CEO Kathy Dugas teamed up with the World Affairs Council to discuss how individuals, NGOs and foundations can effect change for the world’s most vulnerable citizens – its children.

The Council’s Urban Initiative, a program developed to provide the support and resources necessary to sustain the long-term participation of economically disadvantaged schools in our nationally-acclaimed leadership programs for Philadelphia-area students, and The Hamels Foundation, which provides community-based assistance to inner-city schools in the U.S. and supports educational programs in the African country of Malawi, presented their joint vision for a world in which no child is really left behind.
