Ambassador Ronald Neumann at the World Affairs Council - February, 9, 2009

On February 9, 2009, the World Affairs Council was honored to host Ambassador Ronald Neumann, president of the American Academy of Diplomacy and former U.S. ambassador to Afghanistan.

Drawing on his experience in Afghanistan, Ambassador Neumann argued that the U.S military alone cannot create a sustainable peace in the region and that the United States critically needs to update and enhance its foreign affairs staff and budget worldwide.
