Impact '08 - October 22, 2008

by World Affairs Council of Philadelphia

On October 22, 2008, the World Affairs Council was delighted to partner with the Center for U.S. Global Engagement, the Annenberg School for Communication and the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry to host a discussion between former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and former Treasury Secretary Robert Rubin on the economic and national security challenges facing the next president.

This standing-room only event was held as part of Impact '08, a national campaign led by the Center for U.S. Global Engagement that calls on the 2008 Presidential candidates to strengthen support for diplomacy and development assistance – the non-military tools of America’s global engagement.

For support of this event, the Council gratefully acknowledges Aramark.
