2008 Election Gala - October 11, 2008

On October 11, 2008, the World Affairs Council hosted its Election Gala at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Joined by Mayor Nutter, Chris Matthews and Michael Smerconish, Council members were treated to a mock “Hardball” debate featuring Obama and McCain impersonators and bought votes in the Council’s mock election that narrowly gave victory to Obama.

Proceeds from the Gala will be used to support our most important enterprise: preparing the next generation of leaders through Global Leadership programs that directly reach more than 2,600 students each year.
