What Comes Next for Haiti?

Two journalists explored Haiti’s “Lost Decade,” starting with the 2010 earthquake and the ensuing humanitarian crisis which involved challenges with migration, the economy, and a cholera public health emergency. Hurricanes continued to hinder recovery, and political crises only further challenged the country, leading to the assassination of the country’s late President Jovenel Moise. As the UN recently approved sending in a multinational security force to handle Haiti’s rising gang crisis, the World Affairs Council of Philadelphia hosted a conversation about what comes next for the country and what recovery might look like.
