The World Affairs Council presents Great Debates: Is American Politics Broken?

The Council held the the second in our Great Debates Series on October 7, 2013 and webcast/simulcast the debate to participating Councils across the country.

The event featured some of the nation’s top speakers who addressed important questions about American government and
elections, such as, 'Is it even worse than it looks?’, 'What is wrong with the Senate and can it be fixed?' and, perhaps, most important
of all, 'Is American politics broken?'

The Council’s Great Debate Series will explore the most provocative public policy questions facing our nation and the world, seeking to
bring together some of the best minds with differing points of view, on these questions, creating a forum for audiences to decide for themselves “the whole truth.”
