Shallow Sedge (Carex lurida)

    Hi wackybadger,
    I believe this may have been misidentified. I think it's more likely this is shallow sedge, Carex lurida, which is found in wetlands or stream/lake edges. Cocklebur has wide, 3-lobed leaves, thin grass-like leaves. A quick search on plants.usda.gov might clear this up.
