Winifred Lawson - 1926:

Winifred Lawson was born in born in Wolverhampton, England on 15th November 1892 and died in London on 30th November 1961.

    

She started out as a concert singer and she made her London opera debut in 1920 in the role of 'Countess Almaviva' in Mozart's opera The Marriage of Figaro at the Old Vic.

    

She made her D'Oyly Carte Opera Company debut as a guest singer on 23rd Jan 1922 at the Prince's Theatre in London, playing Princess Ida in Princess Ida and left the company in June 1932
